We have been invited to participate in the cheese monger event Cheesetopia organized by Jeannie Carpenter of Wisconsin Cheese Originals. The event brings together 500 cheese buyers to meet those who produce the cheese.
Voluntary Milk Check-Off to Begin
The SDAW organizing workgroup began soliciting input from producers and processors summer 2016 to begin funding industry marketing and public awareness. Funds raised are intended to go towards website and social media development, developing marketing materials on the nutritional value of sheep milk, pairings, etc.
What YOU can do to grow the sheep dairy industry in Wisconsin!
Of course, by just being involved in producing sheep milk, processing sheep milk, or selling sheep milk products you are already deeply involved in the industry. The SDAW board would like you to consider a couple of other ways of growing consumer awareness of the wonderful food that comes from sheep’s milk.
