Early this summer, DATCP announced that the Sheep Dairy Association of Wisconsin will receive one of eight of the 2017 Buy Local, Buy Wisconsin Grants to expand the sheep dairy industry over the next two years. SDAW will use the funding to increase consumer awareness and demand for Wisconsin sheep milk cheeses and other sheep milk products, develop a stronger market for sheep milk products, and encourage cheesemakers to use sheep milk in their businesses.
